BROWNSVILLE, Texas – A member of Brownsville Veteran’s High School ROTC will be heading to college with a big chunk of change in his pocket.
Dalton Romain held a check of $180,000 for an ROTC Scholarship to Texas A&M University.
The young man smiled as speakers talked about his school record and how determined he was to win the large sum of cash.
Those who know Dalton, figured he would get the scholarship. Among those in attendance were his proud mom and fellow classmates.
Proudly dressed in his ROTC uniform, Dalton told us he was holding back tears. He thanked everyone in attendance, and gave words of encouragement to his classmates.
