Railway Recruitment 2019: Biggest Exam To Recruit 2000 Aspirants Begins Today

Bhubaneswar: More than 4.39 lakh candidates will be appearing a crucial test under one of the largest recruitment drive conducted by the Indian Railways today. Indian Railways will conduct recruitment drive for the Para-Medical categories. The Computer Based Test (CBT) for recruitment to 1923 posts of Para-Medical categories will start from today till July 21, 2019. The examination will conducted in 345 test Centres in 107 towns and cities across the country. Over 2000 seats vacant in medical schools as infra, cost keep students away

Despite a shortage of institutions offering the MBBS course, as many as 2,078 seats remained vacant in 83 of the country’s 417 private and government medical colleges this year. This is a significant jump from the previous year, when such vacancies stood at a mere 28 seats. A reply from the Medical Council of India (MCI) to an HT application filed under the Right to Information Act revealed that just 56,748 seats of the total 58,826 MBBS seats were filled — leaving as many as 2,078 seats vacant.
