The government has made it mandatory for all technical institutes to set up incubation centres to promote start-ups and entrepreneurship. AMU shuts down 29 distance learning centres across nation

These centres are located at Moradabad, Tamil Nadu, Badayun and two in Bihar. He told TOI that these are the main centres and cater to around 2000 students every year. He said the 29 centres which have been shut by the university were catering only to around 4000 students. Take strict action against illegal distance study centres, HC tells state

CU to repay fees collected from centres closed down under SDE

Kozhikode: Calicut Universityhas decided to repay the license renewal fee collected from around 156 closed down counselling centres and programme centres under the school of distance education(SDE) for the year 2015- 16. The varsity will repay the Rs 10,000 renewal fee paid by the centres for the year 2015- 16.
