Parts of Kerala have been experiencing heavy rainfall since Sunday due to a low-pressure area formed over East Central Arabian Sea, which has been predicted to be turned into a depression. The Indian Meteorological Department has announced orange colour code warning, asking authorities to be prepared, for six Kerala districts – Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram and Wayanad. 658 schools along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Nowshera sector reopened today after remaining closed for a week following cross-border shelling by Pakistan. Kozhikode: Calicut Universityhas decided to repay the license renewal fee collected from around 156 closed down counselling centres and programme centres under the school of distance education(SDE) for the year 2015- 16.
