The job market in today’s scenario has huge scope. With the growth in job opportunities, there is a growth in the job seekers as well. However, there definitely is a dearth of people who can bridge the gap between job seeker and a job provider. One startup that is working towards this direction is Zigsaw Consultancy.
Zigsaw, aims at helping the job seekers to get the most relevant job according to their skills, and the companies to get their best candidate. They basically recruit people for the companies. Their aim is to revolutionize Recruitment and they intend to achieve this by referral program to gamify recruitment & pass on the referral incentive to the common man. So essentially every job opening will be closed by the common people and their portal which will quantify every skill with its unique algorithms to screen candidates for their clients.
Zigsaw evaluates skills through self-evaluation, peer evaluation & expert evaluation. This unique strategy helps them in creating a repository of pre-evaluated profiles which saves time & effort for the recruiter. They are building a game around recruitment and are incentivizing the whole system of sourcing application through referrals. The system of referrals from existing user network makes it easy for hiring the right person for right job.
Based out of Udaipur, Zigsaw Consultancy is the brainchild of Vaibhav Chouhan an IIT Guwahati Alumnus and was founded in the year 2014. Their current target segment includes companies, job seekers, internship aspirants (mostly college students and working class). They have created various Facebook groups, each city specific to connect job and internship seekers with potential employers. They have built these groups from scratch to a total of 40,000 members in the last 4 months which would give you an idea of the effort they have put in this group. These groups have a huge engagement and have landed many people their dream job /internship. These are a no-spam open group where recruiters can post their requirement and connect with Job seekers of their choice. Their Facebook groups are growing at approximately 500 members per day.
They want to get more innovative in near future by creating an online community where job seekers can openly and independently interact with employers. They want to be the job portal that owns no data and where people can refer their friends & colleagues for job openings.
